Very beautiful photos of the butterflies sampling all the goodies nature had prepared for them.

The butterflies are gorgeous. I'm sure you have a greater variety of colouful butterflies than we have in NZ.

The daintiest of ballerinas...

Beautiful photographs. The butterflies look almost as if they have been pinned into position - like some Victorian bell-glass encased display

September and butterflies go together beautifully.

I just glanced over your proposed work load inthe sidebar. Golly!

A brief post today -- I'm in the tomatoes again!

Thanks for the link, Miss Yves!

Yep, Friko, it's a little daunting. Just now while I'm waiting for the canner to do its 45 minutes, I'm answering questions for two different on-line interviews that will be posted in a few weeks. Then I've got some guest blog posts for October to do -- one reason I haven't posted anything on Fridge Soup in a while.

Lovely post.

BTW: I have started doing some writing. Would you mind reading it and giving me some advice? :)

We have a tremendous amount of butterflies here in Little River. I've never seen so many. They are beautiful and bright yellow. We never tire of watching them. Mother Nature gave us a colorful world.

Dear Vicki: The fitful dancers flitting from end of summmer's sweet nectar's dance. Do you know if they are Monarchs? They are yellow; I thought Monarch butterflies are orange; they are beauties. Lovely pics! Vicki your schedule does sound pleasantly busy; "On the road again!" Wonders about those "Sisters in Crime". teehee!

Lovely photographs. Are these Buddleia that are attracting the butterflies?

Go stand in the corner, NCmountainwoman ;-)

Butterflies are an amazing gift, Bouncin' Barb!

Now that the horrible heat of July and much of August has abated, I'm loving this end-of-summer time too, Jennyfreckles!

These are Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, Chicoreal. We didn't have many Monarchs this year.

Sisters; in Crime is an organization for people interested in promoting women crime writers. There are quite a few men who are members too and there is an adjunct organization called the Guppies (for great unpublished). It's a good organization with lots of helpful info online for anyone interested in writing mysteries.

Yes, Martin, it's Buddleia -- more commonly called Butterfly Bush around here.

It is beautiful here too!

We've never had so many butterflies as we have this year. Now they are dying by the truckload. I hated to see them disappear so I gathered up all I could, laid them on my scanner and copied them into my photo album.

I hope you have some strong pasta shapes around, zite and the like, to keep you afloat! ;-)

Ooopsie, wrong post -
love the butterflies too,
just would never think of pairing them with zite pasta!
